Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that decreases the cohesion of the surface cells and then prevents the thickening of the stratum corneum. 

Lactic peel 2  helps control melanin synthesis and is effective in anti-aging treatments, thus activating the production of collagen and elastin.
